I want to have individual attention from a tutor. Can KJDS provide that?
We provide personal tutoring services for students in grades Pre-kindergarten through sixth grade in phonics, reading, math, computer skills, test-taking strategies, homework help, study skills, and we provide tutoring services created just for adults over age 18.
Your child's tutoring sessions will be a very personable experience! Each student gets one-on-one attention during every session, and they also get time to work on skills independently, which is crucial for truly mastering concepts and skills.
Our tutors are trained in KJDS techniques. Each tutor has his or her own expertise and understands your local curriculum — ensuring your child will be more successful in the classroom. Our tutors also partner with your child’s teacher, so you can feel confident that your child’s learning plan is on track.
KJDS is currently tutoring at the Lafayette Public Library in Oxford, MS. Our tutors will also travel to you, within a 20 mile radius, at no extra charge to you!
KJDS will schedule regular monthly conferences to keep you informed. Your child will also be given an accountability folder in which they must bring with them to every tutoring session. Daily progress reports will be notated within this folder for your viewing.
Your child's tutoring session will last a minimum of 3o minutes. However, KJDS recommends your child's sessions last a minimum of 1 hour. Each tutoring session can be extended to a max of 2 hours daily.
